Harvest
We had a great morning at our Harvest Service with great parent and community support. The children all performed really well and it was great reminder that we should be thankful for all the water we get piped into our homes.
Well done to everyone.

Adult Computer Classes start
It was great to have about 15 adults at our new season of computer classes for adults. With one more class to meet on a Monday morning, we expect there to be over 25 in total at them!
There is still a little space so if you would like to sign up contact the school (9034 2203)

The P5/6 class will be going down to Mossley Mill every Monday morning to take part in outdoor investigation work in their grounds. This fits in really well with the Northern Ireland Curruculum so let's hope every Monday is dry!!

Summer time again!!
Can you believe it??
Where has the year gone? It has been another good year here in Earlview with a superb inspection report and improving results. However it has also been very sad with the death of Wilma, one of our cleaners.
However we move onwards and look forward to a new term in September with our numbers increased again and lots of exciting opportunities for learning.

Looking to the stars
The Nursery and P1 - P4 had an amazing morning with the NI Planetarium on the last day of term. The star show was superb an a great way to round off the term. Make sure you ask your children about it.

Have a great holiday
It's been a long term but a very productive one. The children and staff have all worked really hard and are showing the results which is good to see. I hope everyone enjoys their holiday and I look forward to returning for the last race to June!

Last night was amazing!
Snow White was superb!
We had a very good audience who cheered, clapped and boo-ed at all the right times and the children acted their hearts out!!
Phil and Colin's music at the start set the scene really well and I was so proud of the whole night.
Thanks and well done to everyone.

Inspection Success
We are delighted with the inspection report which is now available on www.etini.gov.uk
Please do look it up and enjoy. It proves that Earlview Primary School is an excellent place to send your children - as if you didn't already know??!!
Please spread the word and let the whole community know about our success.
There are phrases like:
Pastoral Care is very good
Relationships are excellent
The children are articulate and confident
The provision for Special Educational Needs is good
The provision for English and maths is good
The majority of the teaching was very good or outstanding!!
Well done to all the staff and pupils.

Flooding
Please note that due to flooding in our school kitchen there will be no school dinners provided on Tuesday 4th January.
I would ask all parents to ensure that they leave down a packed lunch for their child/children by 12 o’clock. Alternatively, pupils from P5 to P7 may go home for lunch with written parental permission.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
